Memory Care Cottages Opening in December

May Creek Senior Living Campus is expanding. In addition to the Assisted Living Lodge, our new Memory Care Cottages are nearing completion. We are pleased to be taking reservations for a December 2008 opening.
The beautiful new Cottages are the first in the Walker area to be specifically and professionally designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. The Cottage design includes two distinct side-by-side homes, joined by a central commons area with access to secured screened and outdoor spaces and walking paths. Each cottage will serve 10 people in a private residential setting with an emphasis on safety, familiarity and comfort – with an around-the-clock compassionate, dignified staff on duty.
Memory Care Cottage features include:
- 6,000 square feet of living space per cottage
- Private rooms with private baths for each resident
- Beautifully appointed dining and living room spaces per cottage
- A large shared great room with stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings
- Screened porches
- Secured outdoor areas and walking paths
- Sun rooms
- Meal preparation and dining in a home-like setting
- Whirlpool /tub with bathing spa
